Start Over Queen: Single's Corner: Are Your Ex'es Open Game Part 2: Dear Readers, Please feel free to submit your personal story about friends dating your ex or you dating friends ex. You maybe annoymous or...

Absentia

You do not see the woman I am, but the woman they have sold you. When you see me behind a bar serving these drinks, you never would think that I have a little one at home waiting for his mommy to return. You see me accompanied by many men, all filled with smiles & laughter but all that is pretend. There is only one man who can genuinely make me smile & you can barely call him that... When you see me in these red pumps dancing on stage, you would never think that I do it all for him. You see my images to many of you think I may be a sex kitten, but to him I am his mommy. Many of you may call me a party animal, but do you know this is what going to build his future... The following poem is a depection of my life as is, my life as you see it. As well as the woman I am & you have created...enjoy, xoxo.

"Absentia"

My name is absentia
But I am not absent
However no one see's me
But I am everything
But to you all I am nothing
This is my disturbia
A nothing woman

She lurks each night
Seeking her victims of choice
Shell make youre man hers
Entincing his wandering eye
She is a polluted vision of beauty
And if your man wanders
Shell make him her slave

My name is absentia
But I am not absent
However no one see's me
But I am everything
But to you all I am nothing
This is my disturbia
A nothing woman

Exploited for his lustful craze
A pure gain of pleasure
Satisfying his perverted dreams
She lives in the shadows
She is a mistress to many
She's been made to be his adventure
His peacock among a flock of pigeon's
He craves her exoticness
But sleeping on her would be his fatal flaw

My name is absentia
But I am not absent
However no one see's me
But I am everything
But to you all I am nothing
This is my disturbia
A nothing woman
My name is Absentia, But I am definitely not absent!

Our Struggling Butterfly♥

We are people like all of you, put on a pedestal we cannot not possibly live up to. But as if we are Athena or Hercules we try so hard to live up to you're expectations. We try to be the hero's you guys deserve & the example to lead you guys in. But in the end of the spotlight & many nights of sleeplessness, we are still only human. We can never possibly be the android you want or need, because like you we have moments of triumph, moments of bliss, & moments of pain. We live life as we see fit, have wild nights, lose love ones & suffer from heartbreak only difference is we smile though it all. No time to cry when you're job is to create beautiful images of art. My following poem is a depiction of how I am no better or less, than the following woman or man in America. A word from you're little butterflyy, enjoy. xoxo ♥

"Our Struggling Butterfly"

Confused By Such A Chaotic Beauty,
He Stands & Waits.
Finds Himself Fixated,
By Such An Exotic Little Butterfly.

With Such Grace & Poise,
Fragrant Flower So Rare,
She Aches Of Absence,
Stumbling Naked.

She Lays In Misery,
On Such A Night.
Her Eyes Are Dim,
But Her Soul is Bright.

Tears That Never Flow,
Without Interval,
Without Pause,
Such Seems To Be Her Curse.

Old Wounds,
Bars Of Rage,
Held Untold.

Fits Of Passion,
Made Exact,
Fears That Never Leave,
Her Untold Enemy.

Flows Of Fire,
Still Flawless,
Young In Age,
A Child Once Lost.

Alone On Stage,
Wise In Spirit,
A Heavy Cargo,
Gone Astray.

Never Ending,
Once Again Breathing,
This Lass We Call,
Our Struggling Butterfly.

Beauty♥

We are the ones that hide behind our glimmer of beauty, the ones you believe to be not much more than a pretty face. We are put so high above in beauty, that sometimes you guys forget that we are much more. We have unfairly been put in the status quo of ignorant, because a woman cannot be beautiful & smart, is that right? We are the ones who stay up till 4 in the morning following our dreams, the ones who miss out with time with our families hoping that our struggle would make a difference, we are the ones who smile even when we are broken hearted. What more dedication then that do you want? We are models, beautiful, goal- oriented, strong & mostly smart. We are judged by everyone in the industry & not, called dumb & nothing more than just a pretty girl. But today we prove that a model can be much more than a pretty face! My following poem is dedicated to all the hardworking, smart & beautiful models...♥

Beauty♥

Beauty.
the standard of beauty
at its highest form.
natural splendor
a real delicacy
she captures her scenery
nature craves her
 mistakes her for its own.
she owns the natural world.
with her essence && reign
alluring divinity.
exotic.
she is still like the night
but bright like the day
a beauty so divine.
untouchable in eloquence.
not for any common man.
takes an elite gentleman
to attain this classic lady.

Community Corner: LAPD Police Department Targets Impaired Drivers with Checkpoint

What:    Sobriety & Driver’s License Checkpoint

When:    Saturday, February 18, 2012, 6 P.M. to
Sunday, February 19, 2012, 1 A.M.

Where:   Imperial Highway between Main Street and San Pedro Street

Why:  Checkpoints are placed in locations that have the greatest opportunity for achieving drunk and drugged driving deterrence and provide the greatest safety for officers and the public.  Officers will be contacting drivers passing through the checkpoint looking for signs of alcohol and/or drug impairment.  Drivers caught driving impaired can expect jail, license suspension, and insurance increases, as well as fines, fees, DUI classes, court probation and other expenses.

All too often members of our community are senselessly injured or killed on local roadways by impaired drivers. “Over the course of the past year, DUI-related collisions have claimed twelve lives and injured 825 of our friends and neighbors in Los Angeles,” said Lieutenant Ron Katona, Traffic Coordination Section.

This DUI/Driver’s License checkpoint is an effort to reduce those tragedies, as well as insuring drivers have a valid driver’s license.  A major component of these checkpoints is to increase awareness of the dangers of impaired driving and to encourage sober designated drivers.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), checkpoints have provided the most effective documented results of any of the DUI enforcement strategies, while also yielding considerable cost savings of $6 for every $1 spent.

Funding for this operation is provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
